歌好听。阴阳法王和太乙上人的对决看睡着了…实在不比八十年代的《奇门遁甲》和《倩女幽魂》这类影片（此片显得雕虫小技）。 拍摄手法有点老，拍摄出的画面又没有胡导七八十年代那么美，也正因导演是胡金铨，故事还是具有意境，再加上秋官那首《摘下满天星》，构出求道行路的崎岖险阻的画面，风格也接近蒲松龄笔下的聊斋。
